Revit 3D Detailing - Final Images

As promised, more 3D detailing images.

Enjoy.

P.S. Autodesk, are we likely to be able to tag in 3D in the 2012 release...... It has been a wishlist item on AUGI since 2009.

  4. Do you model your connections without any plug-in or extension ? It must be very time consuming ... can you post a video showing how you did them ? I'm very interested on the method you are using.

    Tank you

  5. Hi,

No plug in at all, simply face based families.

I will record a video in the next week or 2 and upload it to the blog.

    This post

  6. Hi Glenn, How on earth did you get that kind of quality on them 3D images of yours ? The timber grain is un-believable ?

  7. how did you get the level of detail on them 3D details ? the timber grain detail looks amazing ! have you got any tips ?

  8. Hi, that was all controlled in the material settings. I have the timber a surface pattern (the grain) and gave that pattern a different colour to the actual timber material.

I also turned on shadows, and tweaked the silhouette style, but the grain is basically controlled under the materials.
